Gifting Opportunities now available
For information about gifting opportunities, contact Sharon Common, Fund Development Officer, 313-308-1416. There are many types gifting opportunities designed to bring the donor a different level of comfort, service and involvement.
Wills – write in the will that you donate a cash amount, asset or percentage of your overall estate to the charity.
Charitable Remainder Trust serves both as an income interest, for the donor, as well as a charitable interest for the designated charity.
Charitable Lead Trust created for a specific term of years or based upon the lifetime of the grantor(s). During the term of the CLT, the trust corpus is prudently invested to provide an income stream to the designated charity.
Charitable Gift Annuity is very similar in nature to the Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust and is a contract that provides a donor with an immediate charitable income tax deduction and a fixed dollar amount as an income stream for the life of the donor.
These vehicles are planned giving strategies designed to allow donor participation in perpetuity: Private or Family Foundation allows the donor to provide the specified 501(c)(3) charity with a perpetual income gift. Donor Funds leaves a perpetual gift, in a more comfortable asset level, such as Donor Advised, Donor Directed, Field of Interest and Unrestricted Fund.
