More than a coat – keep children healthy & warm & in school!
For several years, Northeast Integrated Health has distributed warm, colorful coats to bring warmth to children who often have to share a coat to attend school. Without a coat, a child may attend school every other day or less. NIH’s signature fundraiser Kruise4Kids raises funds for children’s programs and services including WARM COATS for the children who receive services at the Eli Z. Rubin Children’s Wellness Center, their siblings and children from homeless families who attend Day of Restoration on November 2nd. In addition to the K4K fundraiser, NIH receives discounted pricing from Rotary International through their national service project OPERATION WARM COAT. Rotary Club of Grosse Pointe arranges delivery of the coats and offers volunteer services. The Assistance League to NIH, Rotarians from Grosse Pointe and other volunteers help size and distribute the many, many boxes of coats from infant through adult sizes. We thank our community partners, K4K sponsors, organizations and individuals who help by purchasing a K4K ticket, sponsorship or making a donation.
