Sherry McRill is a Michigan limited licensed psychologist with exemplary behavioral health and administrative experience in the public and private sectors. Joining the NIH team in 1989, she was named vice president in 1993 and was responsible for the management of clinical and medical staff, medical records, licensure, certification and compliance standard implementation, new program development and annual staff development programs. As President and CEO since 2014, she continues to position the agency as one of Wayne County’s behavioral health providers by adopting the integrated health care model, integrating substance abuse treatment into evidence-based practices and providing basic medical screening to 100% of all children and adults who seek NIH services. Recently appointed as co-chair of the MI Behavioral Health & Wellness Collaborative, Sherry and the organization will identify opportunities to enhance patient access to care, eliminate redundancies and improve the overall function of behavioral health services in Wayne County. Sherry sits on the Board of Directors for Jefferson East, Inc. and The Salvation Army Conner Creek, is a member of the Grosse Pointe Rotary, is a past president of the Junior League of Detroit and the Family Center of Grosse Pointe and Harper Woods, served as President of the Michigan State Council of Junior Leagues, and is an active community volunteer, as well. Under her leadership, Northeast Integrated Health works collaboratively with Conner Corridor partners to improve the lives of community residents on Detroit’s east side.
